How should I prepare for my appointment?

Arrive with your hair in its natural state, brush it to a detangled state and try to refrain from having heavy products in your hair. Wear comfortable clothing.

How often should I get a head spa?

A monthly session is recommended to align with the skin’s 28-day renewal cycle, though every 4-6 weeks is common for maintenance. 

Do I need to wash my hair before?

No, it is generally recommended to arrive with unwashed hair up to 48 hours, so we can accurately assess scalp health and avoid over stripping- natural.

Can I get a head spa with hair extensions/braids?

No.  We would be happy to provide a head spa on your move up day.

How long should I wait to wash my hair afterwards?

It is best to wait 24-48 hours to allow the nutrients from the treatment to fully absorb.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable, loose clothing.  You will be asked to remove jewelry and put on a robe.

Can I get a head spa if I have color-treated hair?

Yes, the products are generally safe for color-treated hair, but it is often recommended to wait at least 48 hours to a week after chemical services to prevent color fade or irritation.

What is the benefit of a head spa?

Benefits include deep cleaning pores, removing  build up, improving circulation, stimulating hair growth, and relieving stress. Also addresses conditions like dandruff, dry scalp, or oily build up. 

What kind of products do you use?

We use Nautilique products

Will I leave with wet hair?

We have a self blow dry station or you can leave with your hair wet.

Can I get a head spa if I am pregnant?

Unfortunately, for your head spa treatment you must lie flat, therefore we do not recommend a head spa treatment while you are pregnant.  We look forward to seeing you after you are done with your pregnancy.

Can I get a head spa if I am being treated for cancer?

No, we are not able to perform a head spa treatment for you while you are actively receiving radiation or chemotherapy. We look forward to seeing you after you have completed all of your treatment and have been cleared by your oncologist.

If I have an open wound on my scalp, may I receive a head spa treatment?

Unfortunately for your safety, we do not perform any treatments on open wounds.

Who cannot get a head spa?

Our head spa services are designed to provide a relaxing experience. For your safety and well being, the following clients may not be able to receive treatment:

  • Have braids, extensions, or synthetic hair.
  • Open wounds, skin infections, or contagious conditions
  • Severe allergies to any of the products used in our treatments
  • Recent head, neck, or spine injuries
  • Medical condition that could be exacerbated by the treatment
